James and Sandra Wilkins, founders of HHM, left Hopital Lumiere, Haiti in 2005, where they had lived and worked for 7 years. The Wilkins arrived at Christianville in Gressier January 2006 and HHM was formed. While at Christianville, HHM ran the medical clinic that was there. It was initially a very small clinic with 1 doctor 3 days a week part time. When Jim and Sandy arrived they began to see patients daily. The clinic grew little by little; the laboratory was added. They purchased the digital X-ray the next year. After the 2010 earthquake, HHM purchased new property and began rebuilding their clinic that had fallen. The clinic moved to the new location in Sept. 2011 in tents; the missionaries began living there in January 2012. Presently, the clinic sees about 150-160 patients/day - over 30,000/year. They expect to finish building the main clinic building in the winter of 2014. 69 patients made professions of faith thus far in 2013 as a result of the clinic's ministry.
